Warranty Terms and Conditions
Limited Warranty & Service Policy
Alpha Precision Armory builds firearms with a focus on precision fitment, reliability, and long-term performance. Every completed firearm is inspected and test-fired before it leaves our shop. Firearms are mechanical tools and require proper ammunition, lubrication, maintenance, inspection, and periodic replacement of wear components.
By purchasing, accepting, using, modifying, or transferring possession of an Alpha Precision Armory firearm, the customer acknowledges and accepts the terms of this Limited Warranty and Service Policy.
Non-Transferable Warranty
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the firearm and is non-transferable. Warranty coverage does not extend to any subsequent owner, purchaser, transferee, dealer, reseller, consignee, or third party. If the firearm is sold, gifted, traded, transferred, consigned, or otherwise changes ownership, all warranty coverage under this policy is void.
Alpha Precision Armory may require proof of original purchase, order records, identification, or other documentation to verify warranty eligibility before performing any inspection, repair, replacement, or service. Firearms no longer covered under warranty may still be accepted for non-warranty service at Alpha Precision Armory’s discretion, subject to applicable fees, parts, labor, ammunition, shipping, insurance, and other charges.
1-Year Limited Parts and Function Warranty
Alpha Precision Armory warrants each new Alpha Precision Armory-built firearm to be free from defects in parts, materials, and mechanical function for one year from the original delivery date to the original purchaser. During this period, Alpha Precision Armory may, at its sole discretion, inspect, repair, adjust, replace, refit, or correct any covered defect.
This warranty applies only to defects that occur under normal use, proper maintenance, proper lubrication, and use of appropriate SAAMI-specification ammunition. This warranty does not guarantee compatibility with every ammunition type, bullet profile, magazine, optic, aftermarket part, accessory, spring weight, recoil system, or user-selected configuration.
Limited Lifetime Warranty on Core Workmanship
Alpha Precision Armory offers a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser on core workmanship directly performed by Alpha Precision Armory during the original build. This coverage is limited to critical machining, fitting, and structural build work performed on the major firearm components as part of the completed Alpha Precision Armory build.
Covered core workmanship may include, when applicable: slide-to-frame fit; barrel fit and lockup; critical slide, frame, and grip fitting performed by Alpha Precision Armory; machined or modified surfaces created by Alpha Precision Armory as part of the original build; and structural fitting work directly related to the original assembly and function of the firearm.
This Limited Lifetime Warranty is intended to cover workmanship defects in the original machining, fitting, or assembly of the firearm’s core components. It does not cover normal wear, serviceable parts, cosmetic wear, maintenance-related issues, ammunition-related damage, abuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, improper repair, or changes made after the firearm leaves Alpha Precision Armory. Alpha Precision Armory reserves the sole right to determine whether an issue qualifies as a covered core workmanship defect.
Test-Fire Procedure
Before leaving Alpha Precision Armory, each completed firearm is test-fired with approximately 100 rounds to verify general function and reliability. Unless otherwise noted, Alpha Precision Armory test-fires using 135 grain flat-point ammunition loaded within SAAMI-safe specifications.
Because function can be affected by ammunition, magazines, lubrication, maintenance, shooter grip, environmental conditions, optic mounting, and aftermarket parts, successful test-fire performance does not guarantee flawless operation with every ammunition type, bullet profile, magazine, accessory, or configuration.
Ammunition Disclaimer
Alpha Precision Armory firearms are built and rated for commercially available ammunition loaded within SAAMI specifications for the firearm’s chambering. Use of overpressure ammunition, improperly loaded ammunition, remanufactured ammunition, reloaded ammunition, handloaded ammunition, “major” power factor ammunition, competition-loaded ammunition, or any ammunition loaded beyond SAAMI-safe specifications is done strictly at the user’s own risk.
Alpha Precision Armory is not responsible for damage, accelerated wear, breakage, malfunction, injury, loss, or failure caused in whole or in part by ammunition that is overpowered, overcharged, improperly loaded, reloaded, remanufactured, handloaded, contaminated, defective, outside SAAMI specification, loaded to “major” power factor, or otherwise unsafe or inappropriate for the firearm. Such use may void warranty coverage if Alpha Precision Armory determines that the ammunition contributed to the claimed issue.
Break-In Period
Alpha Precision Armory pistols are built with tight fitment and new springs. A normal break-in period should be expected. The firearm may require approximately 500 to 900 rounds to fully settle, depending on ammunition, magazines, lubrication, spring setup, shooter input, and maintenance.
During the break-in period, the firearm should be properly lubricated, cleaned as needed, and operated with appropriate ammunition and quality magazines. Minor changes in feel, smoothness, slide movement, lockup, trigger feel, and visible contact patterns are normal as fitted parts mate together. Break-in does not excuse a true covered defect, but tight fitment, new springs, and normal early wear patterns are not automatically warranty issues.
Wear Parts, Consumables, and Maintenance Items
Certain parts are wear items, consumables, or routine maintenance components and are not covered as defective simply because they wear, loosen, fatigue, require adjustment, or need replacement through normal use.
Examples include recoil springs, main springs, firing pin springs, magazine springs, shock buffs, extractors requiring inspection or tuning, ejectors, pins, small springs, magazines and magazine components, optic screws, mounting hardware, grip screws, fiber optic rods, sights subject to impact or adjustment, and batteries, if applicable. These components are expected to wear over time, especially with high round counts, competition use, dry-fire practice, aggressive training, improper lubrication, or use of high-pressure ammunition.
Finish and Cosmetic Wear
Cosmetic wear is not covered unless Alpha Precision Armory determines that the finish shows an obvious defect in materials or application. This warranty does not cover holster wear, scratches, scuffs, impact marks, tool marks caused after delivery, carbon staining, brass marking, solvent or chemical damage, heat discoloration, wear on contact surfaces, or wear from normal firing, handling, cleaning, storage, or carry. Visible wear on contact points is normal and expected.
Maintenance Responsibility and Service Program
The customer is responsible for properly maintaining, cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and safely operating the firearm after delivery. Alpha Precision Armory recommends full inspection and maintenance approximately every 4,000 to 5,000 rounds, or sooner depending on use, ammunition, competition schedule, spring setup, environmental exposure, or observed performance.
Recommended maintenance may include recoil spring replacement, main spring replacement, firing pin spring replacement, shock buff replacement if applicable, extractor inspection and tuning, ejector inspection, magazine inspection and tuning, optic screw and plate inspection, inspection of pins, springs, and small parts, cleaning, lubrication, function inspection, and return-to-spec inspection of fitted components. Alpha Precision Armory offers a service program to help keep your pistol operating as close to factory condition as reasonably possible; bench fees, parts, labor, shipping, insurance, test-fire ammunition, or additional work charges may apply.
Warranty Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not cover damage, malfunction, accelerated wear, failure, or loss caused by normal wear and tear; wear parts, consumables, or routine maintenance items; improper maintenance or lubrication; failure to clean or inspect the firearm; improper ammunition; overpressure ammunition; reloaded, remanufactured, handloaded, or non-SAAMI ammunition; “major” power factor ammunition; squib loads or bore obstructions; contaminated, defective, or unsafe ammunition; unauthorized modifications or repairs; aftermarket parts not installed or approved by Alpha Precision Armory; improper spring weights or recoil system changes; improper optic mounting; incorrect screw length, torque, or threadlocker use; incompatible magazines; neglect, abuse, misuse, unsafe handling; dropping, impact, crushing, or physical damage; corrosion, rust, moisture damage, improper storage; chemical damage; competition use beyond normal maintenance expectations; use inconsistent with the firearm’s intended design; or any condition caused by work performed by anyone other than Alpha Precision Armory.
Alpha Precision Armory reserves the sole right to inspect the firearm and determine whether a claimed issue is covered under warranty.
Modifications and Unauthorized Work
Any modification, alteration, repair, refinishing, machining, tuning, disassembly beyond normal maintenance, or parts replacement performed by anyone other than Alpha Precision Armory may void warranty coverage. This includes, but is not limited to, modifications to the slide, frame, barrel, grip, fire-control components, extractor, ejector, safeties, optic system, recoil system, springs, finish, or fitted surfaces. Alpha Precision Armory is not responsible for issues caused by aftermarket parts, unauthorized labor, customer fitting, third-party gunsmithing, improper installation, or attempts to alter the firearm after delivery.
Warranty Claim Process
Before shipping any firearm to Alpha Precision Armory, the customer must contact Alpha Precision Armory for authorization and shipping instructions. Do not ship a firearm without prior authorization. The firearm must be unloaded and shipped in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The customer may be responsible for shipping, insurance, transfer fees, parts, labor, test-fire ammunition, and return shipping for non-warranty service. If Alpha Precision Armory determines that the issue is covered, Alpha Precision Armory may, at its sole discretion, repair, adjust, replace, refit, or correct the covered issue. If Alpha Precision Armory determines that the issue is not covered, the customer may be offered non-warranty service at the current shop rate plus parts, shipping, insurance, ammunition, and applicable fees.
Limitation of Remedies and Liability
The customer’s sole remedy under this Limited Warranty is repair, adjustment, replacement, refitting, or correction of a covered issue, at Alpha Precision Armory’s sole discretion. Alpha Precision Armory is not obligated to provide refunds, firearm replacement, upgrades, compensation, or reimbursement unless required by applicable law. Replacement of a part or performance of warranty work does not restart or extend the original warranty period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpha Precision Armory is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including ammunition costs, match fees, training fees, travel expenses, shipping expenses for non-warranty claims, transfer fees, loss of use, loss of time, lost profits, lost business, personal inconvenience, third-party gunsmithing fees, or damage caused by unsafe use, improper ammunition, or unauthorized modification. Alpha Precision Armory’s total liability shall not exceed the original amount paid to Alpha Precision Armory for the firearm or service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
No Other Warranties and State Law Rights
Except as expressly stated in this Limited Warranty, Alpha Precision Armory makes no other warranties, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpha Precision Armory disclaims all implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No employee, representative, dealer, distributor, gunsmith, or third party is authorized to modify, extend, or alter this Limited Warranty unless approved in writing by Alpha Precision Armory.
This Limited Warranty gives the original purchaser specific legal rights. Other rights may vary by state. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of certain damages, so some limitations may not apply. If any part of this Limited Warranty is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
